Jeremy P. Borders is the CEO and Chief of Operations for Affinity Protection Group, Inc. He began his military career in 2009 with a bit of reserve active duty and is currently serving in the Texas Army National Guard. He was mobilized and deployed to Kuwait and Iraq from 2014 to 2015 for Operation OEF and the start of OIR.
Since 2011, Jeremy has been in the security industry, starting as a corrections officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He advanced to Level II security in 2012 and was commissioned in 2013. Over the past 13 years, Jeremy has worked with numerous companies from Dallas to San Antonio and back to the Dallas/DFW area, playing a significant role in growing and building security firms before starting his own, Affinity Protection Group, Inc., in January 2024.
Jeremy has been instrumental in expanding other security companies, including opening a branch in 2019. In less than three months, he has rapidly grown Affinity Protection Group into one of the fastest-growing companies in the DFW area, with plans for expansion to other cities in Texas and additional states. Jeremy is dedicated to hiring officers who are fit and accountable, aiming to provide top-quality service to clients.
Jeremy has spent many years as a firearms instructor, teaching everything from basic to advanced pistol and rifle training to basic CQB training for officers. He was also an NRA instructor but sought to provide more comprehensive firearms education, leading him to start his own firearms training company. In this role, he has taught firearm safety to small and large groups of police officers and private security officers. Zachary Hoffman has been a dedicated professional in the security and law enforcement industry since 2015. His extensive experience includes working in various security roles, from unarmed security personnel to armed security specialist, and he has also served as a licensed private investigator. Throughout his career, Zachary has developed a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of security management, risk assessment, and investigative techniques, ensuring the safety and protection of individuals and properties alike.
In 2019, Zachary transitioned into law enforcement, where he quickly demonstrated his leadership abilities and strategic acumen. Rising through the ranks, he became one of the youngest law enforcement executives in Texas, ultimately serving as Chief of Police. In this role, Zachary was responsible for overseeing department operations, implementing community policing strategies, and leading initiatives that enhanced public safety. His forward-thinking approach and dedication to the community earned him recognition as a transformative leader in law enforcement.
Born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Zachary’s commitment to service was further solidified through his time in the United States Air Force, stationed in San Antonio, Texas. His military background provided him with invaluable skills in discipline, leadership, and teamwork, all of which have been integral to his success in both security and law enforcement.

Terry Chasteen is a newly promoted Captain of operations for Affinity Protection Group, Inc., where he oversees multiple supervisors, field operations, and patrol operations, as well as handles day-to-day administrative operations.
Terry Chasteen’s military career spans over two decades, marked by multiple deployments and specialized training. He served in the active component from 1996 to 2003, with deployments to Bosnia (1996-1997), Oman (1998), and Afghanistan (Dec 2002-Sept 2003). From 2004 to 2006, he was with the National Guard AGR, and then deployed to Iraq (Sept 2006-Dec 2007). He was part of the Counter Drug Task Force from Jan 2008-Aug 2009 and deployed again to Iraq (Sept 2009-Jan 2011). From Feb 2011 to Mar 2012, Terry was a cadre for wounded warriors, and from 2013 to 2017, he operated on the South Texas border, retiring in Dec 2017.
In Iraq, Terry first served as a PSD team leader, providing protection for various visitors from the State Dept and other government contractors across Baghdad. On his second trip, he was a PPO to a 2-star general in charge of J2 and part of SOCOM for the Middle East theater of operation. He has High Risk Personnel training from the State Dept, including transport, in-site movement, advance party movement, and evasive and aggressive driving.
Terry’s notable awards include the Bronze Star and Joint Meritorious Service Medal, and he is an Audie Murphy award winner. In his civilian career, he worked as a PPO for CPG principal Wayne LaPierre, CEO of the NRA.
